One of my all-time favorite passages in the bible that always makes me smile is:
Matthew 7:7: “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
Doesn’t sound so….well, easy?
It may well be but let’s set aside the religious aspect of the above mentioned passage found in the good book. Let’s take the gloves off and wipe away the sugar coat…humor me.
When is the last time, honestly, you ever got anything meaningful instantly? I mean in an instant.
Before we can really embrace such a profound passage we need to understand the pr-requisites.
Isn’t this true:
- Before you ask for something, know what you are asking for and how to ask for it and from the right person.
- Before you find what you seek, know that the seeking part may take time. Enjoy the seeking part.
- Before you decide to knock on a door that will no doubt open, look around the neighborhood and double check the address.
Now back to some sugar and a smile: “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. ~ Matthew 7:7
