You’ll sometimes see, “this page intentionally left blank,” printed on a blank page of a book. For me, I’ve always thought it to be amusing. Although I know there is a good reason for this, I’m not so sure I want to know. I like my “made up” funny reasons as to why it is. But there is always a purpose and a reason for everything, isn’t there?
Using a page in a book as a metaphor for a day in our life, do you sometimes, at the end of your day, find that your page reads. “this page intentionally left blank?” We all have them days when we wish we could just skip today and go on to the next. But the fact is, good or bad, right or wrong, our pages are never blank.
Beginning each and every day, from the moment we wake up, a blank page is before us. At that moment, when the page is handed to us, we consciously or unconsciously write on the blank page. And at the end of the day, a page is written. Day by day, month to month, year to year, you write the story: your book.
What will your page read today? What will your book be about?
Today, my hope is that you consciously write on your blank page and fill it with positive actions. I hope your book is based on an intriguing plot where you, the antagonist and protagonist, conspire together and in the grand finale all your dreams and goals are attained. And of course, that you live happily ever after…
I did a Google search on the reasons why it is you’ll see in a book a page that reads, “this page intentionally left blank.” I think I’ll stick to my “made up” funny reasons.
