Quality Time with the Family in Old Town San Diego

Hey guys, just checking into to share our weekend experience at Old Town San Diego.

Old Town San Diego is an awesome place to soak in the history of San Diego with the family and there are lots of things to do and see and eat. On this occasion, we came to Old Town San Diego to have dinner with my mother who is going back to Texas to live and also visit the most haunted house in America: Whaley House.

First it was dinner and drinks at our favorite Restaurant: Old Town Mexican Café. Everything there is good, from the service to the food, to the to-die-for homemade tortillas. I had the Spinach and chicken enchilada plate which was excellent.

After dinner we walked around the shops for a bit but then we were off to the Whaley House tour. My son is into haunted houses, spirits and scary movies, at the moment, so it was perfect that we took this tour. The tour lasted about 30 minutes and was guided. I’m not sure why they say it is the most haunted house in America; we certainly didn’t see ghosts LOL. It was however a great tour of one of the oldest structures in San Diego and it was great to have learned the history surrounding the Whaley family.

Isn’t it nice to share history and sites with the family? Precious memories are created which last us a lifetime.

If you never been to Old Town San Diego, make plans to go soon. If you’re out of state, what a bummer, but if you are local, it is a must.
